As to the question if mom had a heart attack last night, he is not sure what really happened, but wants to get to the bottom of it either way. We went to the cardiologist today to check and he is sending her for a lot of tests. First one was this afternoon a ultrasound to determine if she had a blood clot in her leg that might have moved to her lungs. Then, Friday afternoon she will endure a chemical induced stress test. Depending on the outcome of these test the next one will be a month long monitor to see how her heart acts. If that doesn't work then a cardiac cath will be next. She woke up at 2 this morning with a crushing sensation in her chest and her heart going crazy with beats. Instead of calling me she decided to sit in her chair until it passed. I was fairly Stern with her that the next time SHE WILL CALL ME - no matter what time it is. This could be serious and she shouldn't wait. I wouldn't have known about it but I asked her this morning if she felt ok because she was dragging tushie and real groggy. That is when she told me.

the last week in our lives
We have been busy this week. It started with last Saturday going to Independence to Brayden's 4th birthday party. I really can't believe that he is already 4 years old - I know that the next time I see him he will be graduating high school!!
This is the first time we have been back there since Larry died in September. I am not sure if it is because we have been busy or just digesting his death. It is still hard, I think of him a lot. I have a lot of pictures on my computer at work of him and every time I see one of those it makes me stop in my tracks and think about him. Alayna was a little upset about going into the house knowing Larry died - but once she saw Aunt Gail, all those feeling were gone. She greeted Gail with a big hug. Gail has done such a great job on the house. She has painted and moved stuff around. Something else that was a great change was that Rob and Tanya got to move down stairs to their own "apartment" of sorts. It is like what Kristi has here - her own "apartment" that allows her privacy while living at home.
We had a really nice time at Brayden's party and of course Alayna had a lot of fun playing with Brayden. They were laughing making good memories. We will be going back in a couple of weeks for Kolby's first birthday which will allow Alayna more Brayden time. I hope that it doesn't snow so that we can make it to see Kolby's milestone. While we were there, Lucas made these really cool BBQ wings and I had to go to Sam's to buy me some. We will be having these for dinner soon.
Tom is still on nights. I have to confess - I kinda like it now. I have the TV to myself and have become addicted to Wii Fit. I ride the bike, segway, do stepping, skiing, etc. I think there must be a 12 step program that I should be attending for this. I work out for at least 30 minutes - but have bumped it up to one hour most nights. I have lost over 5 lbs since we got it, which makes me happy. I have also lost my saddle bags on my thighs - which is also a plus. I want to keep going and lose more. Of course it doesn't hurt that we don't eat supper with Tom gone and this helps my weight loss. I may have a piece of cheese before bed, but that is it. Alayna is getting to like it as well, she can have all the mac and cheese she wants - 5 nights a week!
Kristi and Brian are in St. Louis right now at a hockey game. Kristi has become a big fan of hockey and this makes Brian really happy. They are also going to a game the end of March. I can't believe that someone would want to miss the Olympics for hockey.
The bar came home....
I am so excited but the bar made a full circle I guess and came back home. For those of you that are confused (I am sure you are not Gail) but last week-end we went to my great-nephew - Brayden - birthday party. We stopped by my sister-in-law's house to see all the great work that she has done since September, when looking on her sewing room we saw the bar and was my dad's. This bar is a piece of furniture that the top slides and make a "bar" for you to make drinks. Dad had it stocked with glasses and liquor as I remember, but the glass holders have long since been taken off. I am not really sure when Larry and Gail got it, but they have taken really good care of it - it still looks new. Anyway, Gail asked if we wanted it back and I said yes, I will give it to Brian to store his video game cases in it. But, Brian didn't want it - so it is sitting in my house. Mom is going to use it to store her sewing supplies that she uses when she sews in the kitchen. I am so excited - the bar came home!!!
