My brother and his family came to Columbia for the MU football game yesterday. It was a birthday celebration for both Gail (my s-i-l) and my nephew, Scott. I heard the game was great and they said that they had a wonderful time.
Today, Larry, Gail, Beth, Lucas, and Brayden came over for a big breakfast. We had a really nice visit which revolved around a meal (like always in our family!). They decided to come back and have a late lunch/early supper. We were surprised be joined by Scott and Bri who just recently announced their engagement and of course Brian was here. So, we had 13 people (if I counted right) for dinner. It was so nice to have a house full of laughter and all the chatter that goes along with a family gathering. I do love these times.
Another reason for such a wonderful day was the ability to spend a good amount of the time with my great-nephew Brayden. He is 2 and Alayna is 5 and they have such a wonderful time every time they are together. Beth and Lucas had somethings that they wanted to do, so they left him with us and we really enjoyed being able to spend time with Brayden. We went outside and saw caterpillars, 2 frogs, one of our cats stalking something and then eating it (gross!), and a lot of swinging and sliding on the swingset. They got muddy, but they were both washable and very tired by the time everyone left. Alayna has been up since 5:30 this morning and is still going strong at 8 tonight without a nap!
I can't wait for another day like today, to go to bed after such a happy day. God is Good!!

I just now read your comment about vacation. We are out west and I am making a blog on my blog account of the vacation. go on here and read it. I am posting just about everyday. Easier than writing it down and rewriting it when we get home.
Sounds like things are going good in your world.
