Headlines Read...old woman shoots self in foot

That is what I am afraid the headline will read if mom has her way. Something is getting into her bird feeders at night and destroying them. So last night she came in and said that she was going to buy a gun and wait for whatever it is and shoot it. Like a good daughter I said "and what am I suppose to do when you shoot yourself in the foot, or worse?" She promptly said "You think I am kidding, don't you?" Well, I didn't think she was kidding but hoping that she doesn't go and buy a gun. I don't think my blood pressure can handle a 78 year old with a gun chasing a small animal around my yard.
