I was having trouble with my van and took it to the shop. My wipers would stop working (I think they were union wipers!!) and you would have to mess with the turn signal to get them to come back on. This is a real problem when you are driving down I-70 at 70 mph in a thunderstorm. Anyway, I took it in on a sunny day and told them that the switch on my steering wheel was bad and needed to be replaced and then left it. The idiot called me and said that it wasn't raining outside and so they couldn't get it to do what I said it was doing. I, being a smart woman said - without thinking...why don't you put it in your wash bay and turn on the water idiot. He replied "that is a good idea, we didn't think about that!" I hung up the phone and promptly said "Men are so stupid sometimes" and when you work in an office with 3 other woman they all agreed. Anyway, they called back and said that the switch was bad and they would have to replace the entire turn signal to fix it - was this ok? No, it is not...I really don't need wipers...idiot. Anyway, the cost to fix that and the sliding door was $1,400...thank god for extended warranties. I feel for Beth and Lucas every time they go to the shop...we pay $40+ an hour for these "experts" who can't find the bathroom without someone leaving them cracker crumbs to follow. And you wonder why the big 3 are in financial trouble!

Marie, I love your writings! You make me laugh. Keep up the great job of updating for us. Sorry to hear things are breaking (stove, windshield wipers). Have a wonderful time at the game. Can't wait to hear all about it. I think you could get a job at the newspaper and write commentaries. YOU ROCK!
