This year we decided to get season tickets to the NASCAR Race in Kansas. We have went to the spring Truck races for the last several years thanks to some friends of ours who don't want to go to the spring race. But, this year Tom wanted to see the Fall race as well. So, we took some of our cruise money we had saved and got the tickets. We had a lot of fun in April but we plan on having even more fun in October!!!
About a month ago, I went on the Kansas Speedway sight to check out the activities around the track for the week-end and read about Victory Club. Told Tom about it and he wanted to do this instead of another cruise at this time. So, I took out some more money and spend it on the Victory Club tickets. A percentage of the money goes to Victory Junction Gang Camp that helps kids with cancer had a wonderful time at camp - so the money went to a good cause. With the victory club we get to meet and greet the drivers, have breakfast and lunch with them for 2 days, go into the pits and garage area, be at the drivers Q & A session, scanner, and other interesting stuff. We are also doing the fan walk as well as 3 full days of racing.
We will be very tired with a lot of walking but it will be well worth it - maybe not as much fun as a cruise, but this is something Tom really enjoys so I go along for the fun. I like the wrecks!!!
