I came in this morning to find her slightly awake and missing the NG tube that was in her nose. This is a good step toward going home in the near future. The doctor told her that it would not be on Sunday. Maybe early next week, but not that early! He was going to call the business office to confirm that they had lost their minds and he refused to release her and that she was probably would not release herself against medical advice since she can't stay away very long and doesn't know how to take care of her ostomy yet. She is excited about getting lunch today. It will be soft foods, but I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. She is snoozin' really good right now. It will take her a day or two to get the drug out of her system. I have to get the name to make sure we put it on her "Can't take" list."
Last night, I left here around 8 and stopped at McDonald's. On the way home Brian called and said to be careful pulling in the driveway since his car was broken down at the end of the driveway. By the time I got home Tom and Brian had gotten it up to the house. Tom said that he had to go to the shop because something was wrong with the back drivers side wheel. Called a tow truck for our free tow since the car only has 15,000 miles on it. Found out that he had a rock stuck between the brake and the rotor. Ford is going to look and make sure that there is not any damage to the rotor.
I searched for about an hour this morning and Tom about 2 hours yesterday for mom's cat. I think he was very sick and went off somewhere and died. I just wish I would have known because I would have kept him closer so that he wouldn't have been alone - even thought I don't like him - he still didn't deserve to die alone.
